If so, you won't want to miss the upcoming fencing training camp taking place at the IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Center in Bangkok, Thailand from 22 July 2023 to 29 July 2023.
This training camp is designed for fencers of all levels who want to improve their skills and learn from world-class coaches. With three weapons to choose from – foil, epee, and sabre – you'll have the opportunity to train with a world-class coach in your preferred weapon.
Foil Coach
The foil coach for this training camp is Son Young Ki, who has an impressive list of achievements including 3rd place in the individual event at the 2019 Budapest World Fencing Championships, and a gold medal in the team event at the 2018 Jakarta Palembang Asian Games. Son has also won multiple gold, silver, and bronze medals at the Asian Fencing Championships, and was awarded the Korea Sports Medal Geosang Medal in 2021.
Epee Coach
The epee coach for this training camp is Park Min Tae, who has coached national teams and individual athletes to success at multiple international competitions. Park was the second coach for the 2019 national team and helped coach Park Sang-young to a gold medal at the 2016 Asian Games. Park Sang-young also won the 2019 World Cup in Paris, France under Park's coaching. Park has also coached at the Korea National Sports University and is currently coaching at the Chungbuk Provincial Office.
Saber Coach
The sabre coach for this training camp is Han Joo Yeol, who has coached multiple medal-winning teams and individual athletes at international competitions. Han was the coach for the bronze medal-winning women's sabre team at the Tokyo Olympics and also coached a bronze medalist at the 2019 Budapest World Championship.
